There is no strict magical system. Characters are limited only by what makes sense for them. Spells are divided into year levels. These indicate the complexity of the spell and determine which spells character should and should not be able to perform.

However, these are only guidelines. A first year might be capable of casting a 3rd year spell, provided that they have the appropriate setbacks e.g. prior practice, extreme willpower, a weaker/briefer overall effect etc. Conversely, characters might not be able to cast the entire pool of the spells of their specified grade.

We rely on you being responsible with your characters. As stated in the rules, do not metagame, powerplay and/or godmod.
