She plays it close to the vest to avoid hurt feelings; most of the time, anyway. There are a few who have managed to break through and pull her out of her shell. Despite being quiet in nature, they tend to gravitate more towards dramatic and extroverted personalities. Evan typically plays the serious one, the straight man, the dead snarker. The one who physically holds you back before you can start throwing hands in a Denny's parking lot. Fighting and conflict just isn't her bag; if there's no mystique or art to it, what's the point? She can't help but be sneaky, as a result. Performance art outside of dramatic poetry readings are not her strong suit, but poison and gentle gestures work wonders. She is occasionally afflicted with melancholy, and while she finds it easy to express it in text, struggles to vocalize her feelings or confide in anyone. Withdrawing to a quiet place is her usual course of action. » She adores books, cats, women, people watching, blood, the evolution of vampirism in muggle media, cult classics, and folklore » And dislikes children, immaturity, book banning, book burning, prudes, flings, fully fledged vampires, and riddles » Halfbreeds, muggleborns, writers, and other artists intrigue them to no end » You can find them prowling the dungeons, greenhouses, lake, forbidden forest, the towers, Hogsmeade, and Diagon Alley » She likes the idea of a support group for halfbreeds, werewolves, etc., but is admittedly shy on proposing it. Evan found some solidarity in a small therapy group of partial vampires, but fell out of touch with them over the years. » Fluent in French and enjoys speaking and writing in the language whenever possible. Almost exclusively writes smut in French for an obscure magazine. » Evan loves mail, even if it's junk. It's a little lonely when the post comes up dry. Please send her letters. » While they are not a fan of children, they try to remain civil. Evan sees no reason to wish them harm, due to their status and common decency. They just irk her; she never got along with children even when she was one. She'll lend a hand if they require further assistance with research and possibly homework, but is wary of engaging outside of her expected role. » She's more open to casual encounters with members of staff, though keeps it professional during working hours/around students. Friendships are quite possible, given agreeable temperaments, but anything more makes her hesitant. The thought of having to see an ex on a daily basis is not her cup of tea, especially in the case of a nasty breakup. |
